Terps in the ACC
* Maryland looks to rebound from last year's 1-7 finish in the ACC. Under head coach Martin Novak's guidance, the Terps have already notched their first ACC win when Maryland edged Florida State, 4-3, on March 16.
* Junior Marta Jedrzejak (Sieradz, Poland) clinched the deciding match for Maryland against FSU, eliminating Lauren Walker in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4. Junior No. 38 Delila Causevic (Sarajevo, Bosnia) defeated Anca Dumitrescu, 6-2, 6-2. Senior Pamela Floro (Manila, Philippines) utilized her experience to overpower Jessica Balbuena, 2-6, 6-4, 6-0. Down 2-4 in the second set of that game, Floro went on to win the next 10 games in a row. Freshman Emily DeCamilla (Sacramento, Calif.) defeated Christina Denny in three sets as well, 6-2, 6-7 (5), 6-4.
* The Terps were unable to overpower Clemson and Georgia Tech last weekend. Against the Tigers, Floro and Jedrzejak notched the only two singles wins and against the Yellow Jackets, Causevic was the only Terp to prevail in singles competition. Causevic defeated Georgia Tech's Mysti Morris, 6-1, 4-6, 6-1.
