FOXBORO, Mass. - Former Maryland All-American punter Brooks Barnard was signed by the NFL's New England Patriots yesterday and will be in action this weekend. Barnard, who is the program's career punting leader, will kick this weekend against the Miami Dolphins in a pivotal AFC East match-up. Barnard had gone to training camp with the Chicago Bears.
