KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. - The Maryland men's golf team ended up tied for seventh out of 22 teams at the Kiawah Classic by Aramark at the Turtle Point Golf Club. As a team, the Terrapins shaved 14 strokes off their team score Monday to shoot a 286, which was two-under par on the day.
Due to inclement weather, the teams were not able to finish Tuesday's third round.
"This was a solid finish to our fall season," head coach Jason Rodenhaver said. "A top 10 finish in a good field should help our confidence as we prepare for off-season workouts."
Sophomore David Kocher led the way, shooting a 66, which was six-under par in the second round. He finished third in the 113-player field with his combined score of 138 (72-66).
