I chose Maryland for the people, my teammates and my coaches are both so passionate and competitive. They really love the game, I chose this because I really wanted to be surrounded by those types of people. The history of this program is so amazing. The success, the consistency, the passion for the game. I am so lucky and excited to be a part of it.

I chose Maryland because of the great opportunities on and off the court and the competitive nature of the program. I met the coaches and the girls on Zoom and I could already feel the connection. Once I got here, I knew this was a great place to spend my last two years. Every day we are competing so hard and the sky is the limit for us.

What makes Maryland so special is the family environment for me, you can see anybody on campus and they’ll go out of their way to wave at you and say hi. Us, here on the basketball team are very close and team-oriented. Our campus is so big but you’ll always see somebody that you know. It’s such a great campus, it’s beautiful and our facilities are in top two and they’re not two. It’s just great to be here and I’m happy to be a part of it.

When I decided to transfer back closer to my family, I just knew this was the place for me. The tradition, the success, the way Coach B pushes her players. I know I can achieve all my goals here.

This is a program with a big history of winning tradition and everyone who steps on the court at Maryland really wants to win. There is a strong culture here in Maryland. I committed before I even saw campus but I could just tell the passion everyone has for the game and for the school and I wanted to be a part of it. I am so proud to be a Terp.

I chose Maryland to compete at the highest level, to learn from the best coaches in the league and I also wanted to get away from home and experience a new environment. I want to continue to grow, as a player and as an individual woman off the court. I love being around people that just love the game and just want to win. We are pretty competitive and I just love how we’re always trying to get better.

I chose Maryland because I wanted to come into a program that was obviously a winning program, my teammates and of course, Coach B. She just pushes us every single day. My teammates and I truly appreciate every day and getting to compete together. I love the unchangeable things like the atmosphere and the whole Maryland community. I also love the location that surrounds us and the College Park area.

I love that Maryland is close to home. I can see my family whenever I want to, it’s only a three-hour drive for me, so it’s not that bad. The family aspect here is great, Coach and I have a great connection. I like that I can talk to my Coach anytime I want and that she is going to be there for me. I like the way we play here, it’s a lot of fun. I just love it here. I just love playing with my team and how we support each other.

I love the fact that it’s so close to home. I didn’t want to go far away from home and Maryland has everything academically and athletically. This is the type of environment that I have always wanted to play in, and a program that I love being a part of.

I just knew when I took my visit that this was the place for me. Coach B pushes me and really challenges us. I love seeing the tradition of Maryland and I’m just proud to be a part of it.

I chose Maryland because they recruited me the most, in the beginning, Coach Frese started recruiting me when I was in the eighth grade, and she was the head coach that came to my games and that was really important to me. Of course, it’s home, and I wanted to stay home near my family so that was important to me. It helps that my brother is coming here next year so my mom is able to see our games easily. She’s done a lot for us so this is all for her, but it’s great. I want to bring a lot home to Maryland, I want to bring a National Championship to Maryland.

The community atmosphere amongst the students and the athletes and the support that we have here. We talk about One Maryland a lot, and that’s true. We all support each other especially during hard times like this, that’s super important. I definitely like how much of a family it is here.

When I got in my first game and scored my first bucket, the energy and excitement coming from the bench and my teammates was so special. It was honestly the best part. It just means so much to me to know that we are a family.
