2022 Commencement: Terp Reflections

My time here at Maryland has been the best years of my life. I have met so many great people and get to hang out with my best friends every single day. I also get to play the game that I love in front of the greatest fans in the country. I love Terp Nation and will be a Terp for life.

Maryland has meant everything to me. It has given me the chance to earn two meaningful degrees from a Top-20 university in just four years. While here, I have grown and matured in life. I am forever thankful for the opportunities that I have had and am still afforded have this coming year both athletically and academically.

From my first day on campus I knew Maryland was the place I wanted to call home. Graduating from this program signifies the culmination of an incredible academic and personal journey. Im so grateful for all the opportunities that i have been given. Throughout my time here in College Park, both the struggles and achievement, I have become a stronger, more confident individual who feels ready to conquer the world. I want to thank my family for their support, my coaches for always believing in me, and my friends for being by my side every step of the way. I will always look back on my time here and remember how special it was to be a student-athlete at the University of Maryland.

Being from Maryland it means the world to be graduating from this top institution! I was able to live out my dreams of being a student-athlete and accomplish all the goals I set for myself. I am so happy to have been able to leave my own legacy at the University of Maryland and in the gymnastics program. I am thankful for my parents who stood by me through every high and low, I wouldn't have made it without them. I would also like to thank my coaches, academic support, friends, and teammates for always believing in me, celebrating my success, and encouraging me to grow into the best version of myself. I am forever grateful for my time here at Maryland.

I am so grateful for my time at Maryland. Even though it was just two years, I met some incredible people and made some unforgettable memories. I learned a great deal from the great professors at Merrill - I can’t thank Dean Lorente enough for this education. I hope to represent Merrill proudly as I enter the workforce. I will never forget how Coach B and her staff welcomed me with open arms into their basketball family. I knew they’d be able to help me improve as a player and grow as a young woman. Coach B showed me a maternal strength for which I’m so appreciative. To my teammates, we battled through adversity together. We became stronger and closer. Now we are sisters.

I’m thankful for the opportunity to get an education at such a prestigious institute, graduating with two degrees is something I am very proud of and I’m grateful for the University of Maryland to allow me to do that.

I want to thank Maryland for giving me the opportunity to truly live my dream of not only being able to play Big Ten football, but also receiving my degree. Everyone at Maryland has welcomed me with open arms and has allowed me to be apart of the Terrapin family from the day I stepped foot on campus. My time here has made me a better man, athlete and leader. I can’t wait to be able to give back to the university that has helped me in so many great ways.

The past four years that I have been at the University of Maryland have been the most challenging yet most rewarding experience. This is where I met my best friends and gained an entire community that will be with me throughout the rest of my life. Maryland Athletics is truly a family and I am forever grateful for the memories I have made with my teammates, coaches, and supporters.

Graduating from the University of Maryland is very exciting and something that I am so proud of myself for accomplishing. Having the opportunity to receive a degree from a Top-20 public institution while getting to compete at the Power 5 level is more than I could have ever hoped for. I always dreamed of playing Division 1 softball and graduating college growing up, and to have lived out that dream is pretty surreal. I am so thankful for the coaches, support staff, and teammates I have had the pleasure of spending my two years here with. I have been pushed to grow as a person, student, and player here at Maryland, and there is nowhere else I would rather finish my athletic career.

Growing up in Maryland, I have been a Terp for life. Having the opportunity to be a student-athlete for my state university has been an honor and a dream come true! I am forever grateful to everyone who has helped and supported me and all of the amazing relationships I have made throughout my collegiate journey. While my time at UMD has ended, I leave with the utmost sense of Maryland Pride and the necessary skills to successfully guide me through post-graduate life.

The degree means everything to me because I earned a degree from a top university. I am so grateful for the doors it will open for me.

What else can be said but thank you, the love I have for this place is beyond words and I’m glad everyday I chose to go here, the friends I made and the relationships I created are very dear to my heart and I’m forever blessed to have spent my four years here.

It is bittersweet to be moving on from the University of Maryland. UMD has been my dream school ever since I was a little girl, and I have only ever been an athlete. Even though I will be sad to leave, I am so excited to see what the future holds. I have accomplished everything I have wanted to accomplish at UMD and then some! I am so proud that I had the opportunity to be a Terp!

My time at Maryland has been an unforgettable experience. I'm grateful for all of the friendships and connections I've made along the journey. Just remember “Nothing in life is impossible as long as you take that first step." Im Proud to be a Terp!

My time here at Maryland has taught me what it's like to be a competitor. Coming from a one-light town, I wasn't sure what the big city was going to be like. I took a chance and accepted the invite to come to Maryland, and I am blessed to be a part of 'One Maryland.' Being here for the past two years has given me lifetime friends and showed me there is so much more in life. i am thankful for the opportunity to attend and compete at such a high-level institution.

My time in undergrad has been a crazy learning experience that taught me who I am not only as a gymnast, but as a person. My team has been my second family that has always cared and been there for me through thick and thin. I am so thankful for my coaches and the lifelong lessons they have taught me that I will take with me when going into my next stages of life in law school.

My experience at Maryland has been the best f years. Being a Terp has granted me opportunities both on and off the field that have allowed me to create lasting memories, relationships, and skills that will propel into my next chapter in life. Representing my home state alongside so many amazing other student athletes has truly been an honor. What it means to be a Terp is hard to put into words, but something I am incredibly grateful for.

Committing to Maryland back in the summer of 2015 was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Maryland has given me four years of unforgettable memories on and off the field. I have made friendships that will last a lifetime. I’ll never forget my time here in College Park and I’m proud to say I’m a Terp for life.

It is an honor and accomplished to be graduating from the University of Maryland with my bachelors of sociology. I am also honored to be one of the members of the track and field program. It has been a wonderful and encouraging four years to be able to throw javelin more and to compete at a high level. Having courage and determination to keep going when the work gets tough and to not look back.

After 8 years of commitment and growth with The University of Maryland, Ive accomplished so much by setting our standards and records high. Thanks to the Volleyball program, the Education here at the University, and Maryland Athletics I am grateful for everything they’ve done that made me want to return for my 5th season and stay loyal to an environment that has lifted me up to grow into the woman I am. Thank you for everything.

I am so grateful for my experience at the University of Maryland. I can confidently say I have grown into a young woman that baby Regan would look up to. I am most grateful for all of the amazing women I’ve been lucky enough to call my teammates. They helped me learn what it means to have discipline and how to be resilient in the face of adversity. I am forever inspired by these women and continue to be even after our time together has passed. I aspire to be the same role model in every chapter of my life after this. Thank you Maryland and Go Terps!

I am beyond thankful to have experienced my four years here at UMD/ I've made so many amazing memories on and off the field. I have learned so much on and off the field. I have learned so much and am excited to begin my next chapter. Thank you to my friends, gamily, teammates and coaches for all the love and support I've received. Go Terps!

My time at Maryland has been awesome. I have been challenged both academically and athletically. Maryland allowed me to grow as a person and helped to prepare me to be ready for the future.

As I reflect on my past 5 years on the track team I am filled with great memories, experiences and lasting friendships. I’d like to thank the coaches for believing in me and shaping me into the student-athlete I am today. Thank you to friends, family and teammates for supporting me and making this journey better than I could imagine. Go Terps!

It’s crazy that my four years are coming to a close already, but I’m excited for what the future holds. I’ve never felt more prepared after my education and experience here at Maryland!

I’m very proud of the last four years I’ve spent at Maryland. Being at Maryland has allowed me to grow athletically and academically and I’m so grateful of the opportunities and experiences I’ve had here. I’m so happy to be a part of the terp family and thankful to my coaches and family who supported me along the way.

I can't believe my years at Maryland are coming to a close, it's been an absolutely incredible experience I'm grateful for. I've met lifelong friends, grown as both a student and man, and had unforgettable experiences on the field. This team's journey isn't done and we're going to soak up every moment we have left together.

Maryland track and field not only accepted me with open arms, but quickly pushed me to be the best version of me myself on and off the field. The coaches and my teammates provided me with so much support and resources which made me excited to be at practice everyday. They take the phrase One Maryland to heart and I am forever grateful for my time here.

Graduating is bittersweet. Coming to Maryland has been amazing! These past four years I have had so many great memories with my best friends. The relationships I have made have been wonderful and I will forever cherish them. College Park will always have a special place in my heart. I am super grateful to be a Terp.

I have enjoyed every minute of my time at the University of Maryland as a student-athlete. I have grown to enjoy the traditions and all of the unique experiences the school has to offer to all of its students. I will be a life-long Terp fan and will look back on my time very fondly.

I feel honored to be graduating from the University of Maryland. I’m very thankful to be a part of the Terp family. It has meant everything to me to be able to use my fifth year of eligibility here at Maryland and do very special things with the women's tennis team.

To me, graduation means stepping out into the world and continuing to pursue my post graduate and career goals. However, graduating from Maryland means that I am able to pursue these goals fully prepared with everything I need to be successful. Being a student athlete at UMD has been the most amazing four years, and Im extremely thankful for the people Ive met along the way. Maryland has become my home away from home and my teammates and coaches have become family to me. It isn’t everyday that you get a chance to create bonds you will carry with you for the rest of your life, and being a student athlete has surrounded me with irreplaceable friendships. The opportunities available to me have helped me grow into who I am today, and I can confidently progress towards my goals knowing I have continued support from Maryland. I will indefinitely cherish my time in College Park, as well as my time competing for the school I love with all of my heart.

I'm glad to be able to say that Maryland was not only my school but also a home. I only had one year at Maryland, but my teammates, coaches, athletic department, and peers provided me with great memories and experiences I will never forget. Maryland has helped shape me into the person I am today, and I cannot give enough thanks.

Never did I think time would fly by so fast. When I first decided to move across the Atlantic Ocean, I had no idea that these would be the best four years of my life. My time at Maryland has been invaluable. I got to compete at the highest level in a power five conference, earned a bachelor's degree in Marketing from a top-20 public university, and made friendships that will last a lifetime. I've learned more than I ever thought I could in these four years. I will be forever grateful to the University of Maryland, my coaches, family, teammates, and the people who have supported me during this incredible experience.

Graduating from UMD with a degree in engineering has been my dream since I was a little kid. These past four years have not been exactly what I pictured but they have been amazing. I was able to continue my track career, be involved with engineering programs like Flexus and ASME, and I've met so many great friends along the way. If I could go back to freshmen year there honestly is not much that I would change.

I'm so thankful for my time with Maryland lacrosse as a student-athlete. I've learned a lot and I've become a better man with this program under Coach Tillman. Thank you to the University of Maryland for everything they've done for me.

Graduating from the University of Maryland means the world to me and I am very fortunate to get my degree from the place I have come to call home the past 3 years.
