Every spring, students around the nation reach the pinnacle of their college career - graduation. It is a milestone that signifies the end of one life chapter and the beginning of another. For Maryland's student-athletes, graduation is the culmination of years of hard work on and off the arena of athletic competition. In this piece, Maryland student-athletes offer up reflections on their time in college, what being a Maryland student-athlete meant to them and their next steps post graduation.

It was always my dream to come to the University of Maryland, both my parents went here. It is a prestigious school, one of the top public schools in the country. Coming here as a student athlete I knew it was going to be a challenge, but all the resources that Maryland provided were a tremendous help and I couldn't be more blessed.

Maryland has made me into the best version of myself. I couldn’t have imagined after moving alone to a new country that’d I’d end up spending six years at the University of Maryland. I am lucky in my time here to have been a part of a national championship, get my masters, and be a part of a program that helped me grow, apply discipline, and befriend some of the coolest people I know. Coming to the University of Maryland was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Even though it was only for a year, I felt so at home here. I was able to walk away with a Master’s degree from the Robert H. Smith School of Business and I got a chance to play lacrosse at one of the best programs in the country.
