2024 Seniors: Looking Back

As Maryland football takes the field at SECU Stadium against Iowa on Nov. 23 for its final home game of the 2024 season, it will mark the end of the road for the 2024 senior class.

The class has accomplished many feats together, including leading the team to win three consecutive bowl games for the first time in program history. However, the group’s most significant accomplishment revolves around the program’s culture. Under this class’ leadership, Maryland football has transitioned into a player-driven program in which players hold each other accountable and take ownership of themselves.

The Terps’ culture will be this program’s legacy, extending for years under head coach Michael Locksley.

As the class of 2024 enters their final home game at SECU Stadium, the student-athletes took time to reflect on their Maryland careers and share their favorite memories.

My time at Maryland has been eye-opening, to say the least. A lot of new relationships, a lot of new challenges, and a fresh start for a different future. Being from here, I just fit right in and played a crucial part in the development it takes for the next level. I always had a foundation even before I came here, but the foundation here and the pillar words we carry here, that's what life is actually about. Getting it out of the mud, no handouts, just straight grind.

Maryland believed in me when others didn’t. I created moments that I’ll never forget here. Forever grateful!

My time at Maryland taught me that the reward for hard work is more hard work. It may be hard at times, but it’s fair in the end.

I am more than grateful and thankful for my time at Maryland. To be part of this team with this group of men and play for coaches who truly believe in me has been special. I praise God for directing my path to be here for my senior year.

My time spent at Maryland has meant the world to me. It was the perfect place for me to go from a boy to a man surrounded by the right group of people. If I had the chance to do it again, I wouldn’t change anything about it.

My time at Maryland taught me that it’s always bigger than you. It’s not about the plays you made but the impact you had on your teammates, the program, and this university. I hope to be remembered not for stats or highlights but for the way I poured into the people around me. Maryland will always hold a special place in my heart for shaping me into a better teammate and a better person.
