As the University of Maryland women’s lacrosse team continues to pursue its nation-leading 15th NCAA championship title, fans can support Maryland’s 2024 First Team All-Big Ten honorees by rocking their exclusive merchandise and apparel.
Shaylan Ahearn, Meghan Ball and Eloise Clevenger collaborated with Campus Ink to release exclusive T-shirts and crewnecks on The Maryland NIL Store. Each student-athlete's apparel features a unique design.
“At the University of Maryland, we strive to provide student-athletes with knowledge and opportunity in the NIL space,” said Omari DeBerry, Maryland Athletics’ Director of NIL Services. “The Maryland NIL Store provides many opportunities for all Maryland student-athletes with the support from fans.”
Ahearn, a graduate All-American midfielder, ranks third in the Big Ten and leads the team with 104 draw controls this season. She also has 425 draw-controls in her career, ranking second in Maryland program history.
“I am so excited to see the direction NIL is taking in female sports in particular,” Ahearn said. “I think that the exclusive shirts are an amazing opportunity for athletes, and I am very grateful that Maryland allowed me to market myself and grow our sport. UMD really works to help its athletes in any way possible, and NIL has become a big part of that.”
Ball, a graduate transfer All-American defender, ranks second in the Big Ten and first on the team with 37 caused turnovers this season. She holds the eighth most caused turnovers for a single season in program history. Ball also ranks top 10 in the conference and leads the Terps with 36 ground balls.
“Having NIL like this here at Maryland is going way beyond anything I have seen before in women’s sports,” Ball said. “Not many of us get this chance to represent ourselves and our team the way we have been able to. Having these kinds of resources is inspiring and important because, for some teams, especially on the women’s side, it is rare to be your own marketer. I am beyond grateful for Maryland and how they have gone beyond in NIL for me and my teammates.”
Clevenger, a senior All-American attacker, leads the Big Ten and ranks top 15 nationally with 52 assists in 2024. It also places her tied for fourth in Maryland’s single season history. Her 131 career assists also rank fourth in school history.
“It’s super cool to have custom apparel that friends and family can buy to support athletes here at UMD,” Clevenger said. “Maryland has provided a unique experience for student-athletes, and I am lucky to be part of such an amazing program and athletic department.”
