Hey Terp Family,
As we kick off the 2025–2026 academic year, I can’t tell you how excited I am to step into the role of SAAC President. This isn’t just about a title. For me, it’s about representing all of you, the incredible student-athletes who pour your hearts into your sports, your academics, and your communities every single day.
When I decided to run for SAAC President, my “why” was clear: I believe we are stronger together. We all come from different sports, backgrounds, and experiences, but when we unite, we have the power to create change, lift each other up, and leave a lasting mark on Maryland and its surrounding communities. I wanted to be in a position where I could help make that happen — to connect our voices, bring our ideas to life, and make sure every athlete feels seen and heard.
I first got involved with SAAC after talking with one of my great friends, Ajax Zappatello, and getting his opinion on what they represent, talking to him and last year's President, Zoe Huang, I knew I wanted to be involved. A combination of listening to the student-athletes' opinions and the community for the better, while also helping the Terps get better every day.
