
Maryland Athletics Broadcast & Production Unit Nominated For Six Capital Emmy & Sports Video Group Awards

COLLEGE PARK, MD — The Broadcast & Production department for Maryland Athletics was nominated for six awards this past year, presented by the Chesapeake Bay Emmy Awards and the Sports Video Group in May.
The National Capital Chesapeake Bay Emmy Awards are a National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences division. The Emmys are a series of annual awards to recognize artistic and technical merit in the television industry.
Maryland Broadcast & Production collected five nominations, including a Sports Excellence nomination for the entire department after a year of excellent work.
Director Albert Tong and Videographer Noah Vasington earned nominations in three categories — Short Form Content, Long Form Content, and Post Produced or Edited — for their respective work in “UNLOCKED: The DMV”, “NFL Dreams: Tai Felton”, and the Terps’ “Football In Season” series. Editor Marc Warr collected a nomination for his work in the football series.
Sports Editor Jack Cohen earned an individual Emmy Awards nomination for his dedicated work throughout the 2025-26 athletic year.
The SVG College Sports Media Awards are in partnership with the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA). They recognize excellence in diverse areas of college sports media, including live game production, social media video, special features, cinematic recaps and in-venue video.
Maryland was nominated for its outstanding live game production in the Collegiate Student - Power division for its production of the men’s basketball game against Mount St. Mary’s.
