Thankful Terps
11/26/2025

It's a week for thankfulness and counting blessings all over the country. Here in College Park, the Terps aren't taking their opportunities to play for Maryland for granted.
On this Thanksgiving week, many current Terp athletes from a variety of sports take time to reflect on what they're thankful for.

I'm thankful for the opportunity these coaches gave me at this great school. Also thankful for my parents and my family for all the stuff they instilled in me when I was young to make me the man I am today.

I’m thankful for the community that Maryland has been able to provide for myself and all the other athletes apart of the University. Being able to be apart of the Women’s Lacrosse program is an honor within itself but being surrounded by the best teammates, coaches professors, and support staff makes this experience one that is truly special. I couldn’t be more grateful for that!

I’m really grateful for my teammates and coaches, especially. The energy and support they pour into us to not only make us better players but men, make this place feel like home. I’m thankful for every chance I get to wear Maryland across my chest.

James Gladden
Baseball

I'm extremely thankful for my family, friends and teammates. I love them all and I'm extremely appreciative of them supporting me every single day and pushing me to be the best I can be.

Being part of Maryland football has been a blessing. I’m grateful for the lifelong friendships, the chance to compete at the highest level, and the pride that comes with wearing the Terps logo. College Park will always be a place to call home.

I'm thankful for my teammates and coaches as well as the staff here at Maryland, who give their all for us everyday. This program has supported me and shaped me in ways I'll never forget. There is truly nothing like representing Maryland, and I'll forever be grateful to be a Terp and for the people who make this place feel like home.
