Maurice Edu is one of the greatest players in Maryland soccer history. The Fontana, Calif., was a key cog in the Terps' run to a national championship in 2005 as a second-team All-ACC selection before earning first-team All-American honors in 2006. Edu was subsequently selected as the No. 1 pick in the 2007 MLS SuperDraft, won MLS Rookie of the Year and played in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. A veteran of 46 appearances for the US Men's National Team, Edu was selected for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa and made three appearances. Edu played for clubs in the top leagues of England, Scotland and Turkey and participated in the UEFA Champions League. He is now a top television analyst for Fox Sports, CBS Sports and Atlanta United.
