Maryland’s first conference champion (Southern) as light-heavyweight in 1941
A career Marine, he achieved the rank of Colonel and served in the World War II, the Korean and the Vietnam War

On Nov. 8 2025, Malik Washington rushed for a career-high 164 yards at Rutgers.
