Maryland Coach Ron Vanderlinden
General comments: "Obviously, we didn't play well on defense. Our inability to tackle (quarterback Woodrow) Dantzler was really frustrating. He is an awfully good player, but we just did not handle the no huddle offense well."
"Preparing for an offense like that is very challenging because there is no way for your scout team to simulate running that offense in a no huddle fashion."
"We didn't get any turnovers and we need to get turnovers because that's what we've been doing. We needed to make a couple of big plays on defense and we just didn't do it."
On the offense: "I was really impressed with our offense, especially to go out there on that last 94-yard drive. It was sensational."
On LaMont Jordan: "LaMont Jordan had a big day-177 yards, 6.8 average and four touchdowns."
On Calvin McCall: "Calvin ran the ball farely well-probably had his best day against a good football team running the ball."
