Tagliente Continues To Shoot Up Field Hockey Scoring Charts

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Junior All-American Carla Tagliente (Cortland, N.Y.), who has scored six goals in her last two games, has moved into sixth place on Maryland's all-time career goal scoring list with 47. In addition, she now has 119 career total points which ranks fifth all-time in school history.
Tagliente scored three goals Saturday in Maryland's 4-1 victory over Rutgers to bring her 1999 goals total to 11 and her season points total to 35. She has scored six goals in the last two games with hat tricks coming against both James Madison (Oct. 5) and Rutgers (Oct. 9). She has now scored three hat ticks this season.
Tagliente's 12 points in the last two games have moved her from seventh place to fifth place as she has passed Christine DeBow (1994-97) who totaled 11 points during her four-year career. Tagliente needs only four points to pass Nadine Bennett (1994-97) who totaled 122 points during her four-year career.
