BLUE DEVILS SEARCHING FOR ANSWERS: The Duke Blue Devils come to College Park this Saturday, Feb. 14, for Maryland's final ACC match of the season. After winning its first five meets of the year, Duke has struggled lately, losing three in a row. The Blue Devils bring three outstanding wrestlers to the mat, including sophomore heavyweight Alex Hunt, senior Chris Heckel (126) and junior Matt Mapes, who has posted an undefeated 12-0 record at 167 pounds. Before making the trip to Ritchie Coliseum this coming weekend, the Devils must first take on the North Carolina Tar Heels on Tuesday night.

TERPS TO CLOSE OUT REGULAR SEASON VS. AMERICAN: The Terps will face the Eagles for the second time this season after many wrestlers faced off in the Congressional Cup on Saturday, Feb. 7. JEFF WHALEN WINS CONGRESSIONAL CUP; TEAM STRUGGLES: Maryland traveled to Washington, D.C. on Saturday, Feb. 7 for the first annual Congressional Cup at American University. Due to injuries, the Terps were left with multiple holes in the lineup, but senior Jeff Whalen stepped up to win the 150-pound division. VIRGINIA SHUTS DOWN MARYLAND: The Terps traveled down to Charlottesville on Friday night to take on ACC rival Virginia. After Matt Roth and Steve Garland posted decisive victories for the Cavaliers, Maryland made a run with a decision by Shane Mack, 4-1, and a first-round pin by Jeff Whalen.

In the last two weeks, senior Dave Carter, junior Don Kukan and sophomore Ted Harlan have each missed starts. Juniors Jule Dolci, Ben Tomaino and Scott Herfel have stepped up in their absence.
