COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University of Maryland will play host to the second annual Kicks Against Breast Cancer soccer tournament, April 18-19 at Ludwig Field. Joining the Terrapins for this event will be seven top collegiate women's teams. The featured games on Saturday will pit local rivals Maryland and The College of William and Mary at 7 p.m. and George Mason University and the University of Virginia game at 8:15 p.m. Other teams in the field will be Ohio State, Navy and Northwestern.

The Kicks Against Breast Cancer Tournament honors the memory of Claudia Mayer who died of breast cancer on Nov. 1, 1996 at the age of 47. Proceeds from this event will be donated to the Howard County General Hospital's Claudia Mayer Cancer Resource and Image Center.
