Maryland Volleyball Adds Another Prepster

The University of Maryland and head coach Janice Kruger announced today the signing of Libby Alberts who has officially signed a National Letter of Intent to play volleyball at the University of Maryland next season.
Alberts, a 5-8 setter from Eden Prairie, Minn., is a two-sport athlete at Eden Prairie High School, playing both volleyball and softball. A four-year letterwinner in volleyball and softball, Alberts earned all-conference honors three consecutive years in softball and two years in volleyball. She was a two-time MVP in both sports, and earned honorable mention all-metro volleyball and all-state volleyball honors two years.
She is a three-time all-metro, all-state and all-region selection while playing softball at Eden Prairie.
An excellent student as well, Alberts was named all-state academic three years in both softball and volleyball, and is a member of the National Honor Society.
