COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) has released its weekly NCAA Division I poll, and the Maryland Terrapins (7-4) are ranked ninth with 58 points. The Terps fall one spot from last week's eighth place ranking.
North Carolina takes over the top spot in the poll, while Connecticut and Old Dominion are tied for the second position. Princeton and Virginia round out the top five.
Maryland continues its season this week, as they travel to second-ranked Old Dominion (9-2) Thursday for a 6 p.m. game. On Sunday, the Terps return home for an ACC showdown against top-ranked North Carolina (9-1) at noon.
The NFHCA releases its poll each Tuesday during the regular season. This week's poll is as follows:
