Athletic Department Launches On-Line Shopping

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Athletic director Deborah A. Yow today announced the launching of the Terp Shop on the University of Maryland's official athletic website, www.umterps.com, which will enable Terrapin fans to shop on-line for Maryland merchandise and products.
As the official on-line store for Maryland athletics, the Terp Shop features a wide variety of licensed merchandise, with products supplied by Terp Territory of College Park, Md., and the university's golf course pro shop. In all, the Terp Shop offers more than 50 items, including polo shirts, sweatshirts, T-shirts, hats and caps, and other gifts and merchandise.
Visitors to umterps.com will be able to access the Terp Shop by clicking on the MERCHANDISE button on the menu bar of the front page, or by going directly into the store by typing in its URL (http://www.umterps.com/shop). Utilizing the latest e-commerce technology, visitors to the Terp Shop will be able to effortlessly browse and purchase Maryland products on-line >from the convenience of their computers.
"We're pleased to launch our merchandise store on our athletic website, and we believe our many Terrapin fans around the world will be equally excited about the opportunity to cybershop for official athletic Maryland merchandise in a secure environment," said Yow. "It's a great thing to know that purchasing Maryland gear is just a mouse click away!"
umterps.com is a member of the FANSonly Network, the leading destination for sports fans and the seventh-largest sports site on the Internet.
