Women's Volleyball Suffers Three-Game Loss to Clemson

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - For the first time since Nov. 13, 1993, the Maryland Terrapins suffered their second consecutive ACC regular-season loss, losing in three games to the Clemson Tigers, 15-4, 15-9, 15-7. Maryland dropped back-to-back ACC regular-season losses to Georgia Tech and Clemson on Nov. 12 and Nov. 13, 1993, respectively, losing in three games in both matches. With the loss, the Terps fall to 7-7 overall, 1-3 in the ACC. Clemson improves to 10-5 overall, 3-2 in ACC play.
Senior outside hitter Kim Adolphs led all Maryland hitters with 11 kills. Junior outside hitter Kate Hannas hit .214 to lead all Terps in hitting and had a team-high 10 digs. Clemson held the Terrapin offense to a .035 hitting percentage, and outblocked the tall front line of Maryland, 12-4.
Clemson hit .301 as a team and was led by Alison Coday who hit .409. Coday and Skye Frost each recorded a team-high 13 kills, and Coday totaled a team-high eight digs.
Maryland travels to NC State on Wednesday, Oct. 7, and meets North Carolina on Saturday, Oct. 10 in Chapel Hill.
