COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Sophomore forward Caroline Walter was named the Atlantic Coast Conference field hockey Player of the Week for September 13, after leading the Terps to victories over Boston University and Massachusetts during the last week with five goals in two games.

Walter, a native of Reiligen, Germany, recorded her second career hat trick in the Terps 6-3 victory over Boston University on Sept. 10. She helped lead the Terps' offensive attack with two more goals against Massachusetts on Sept. 12.

Walter has started all five games for the Terps with are 4-1. She is the team leader with a career-high 11 goals and 24 points. She is the ACC leader in total points and goals scored.

Maryland plays host to Towson on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
