Volleyball Team Falls To North Carolina

CHAPEL HILL, N.C.- The University of Maryland women's volleyball team lost to defending ACC champion North Carolina (0-3) 10-15, 5-15, 3-15, Sunday afternoon in Chapel Hill, N.C.
Sophomore outside hitter Carey Brennan (Smithsburg, Md.) led the Terrapin attack with 11 kills and six digs. Brennan was the only Terp to finish in double-digit kills. Sophomore setter Lindsay Davey (Aurora, Colo.) recorded team-highs with 24 assists and seven digs on the day.
With the loss, Maryland falls to 13-9 overall and 4-6 in the ACC. North Carolina improves to 20-4 on the year and 10-1 in the conference.
Maryland returns to the court this Tuesday, Oct. 24, when the Terps travel to ACC rival Virginia. The match is set to begin at 7:30 p.m.
