Hello field hockey enthusiasts!
The University of Maryland Terrapins, your reigning national champions, want you to share with us another season of exciting, high-level, competitive NCAA Division I field hockey. The two-time defending ACC champion Terps return all but two players from a 1999 team that posted a school-record 24-1 slate, and we're once again ready to take on national field hockey powers such as Connecticut, Ohio, Old Dominion, Massachusetts, Duke, James Madison and North Carolina all right here in College Park this season!
Maryland is not only committed to playing the best championship style of field hockey around -- we are also committed to providing a fun and entertaining atmosphere for all of you!
We'll start off with a bang: on Aug. 26 when the Terps host UConn, all fans in attendance will have the opportunity to fill out a registration card and win a family four-pack of tickets for the 2000 Maryland football season!
Fill out a registration card at each of the Old Dominion (Sept. 3), Duke (Oct. 8) and North Carolina (Oct. 22) games, and you'll be eligible to win an official Puma Maryland Field Hockey jacket, which a lucky fan will take home on Oct. 22 when the Terps face the conference rival Tar Heels.
Come out, register and help us honor our senior student-athletes on Oct. 29 when Maryland takes on Richmond. This time you'll have the chance to claim a family four-pack of tickets for the 2001 Maryland football season!
PLUS ... fans will have the opportunity to take home a free Puma t-shirt at every game by participating in "Terp Halftime Dribble n' Shoot" ... be sure to join us for the coaches clinic at 10 a.m. on Aug. 26 prior to the UConn game ... stick around after the UMass game on Sept. 16 for the players clinic ... ADMISSION IS FREE ALL SEASON LONG!
Please find our schedule by clicking on the link at the top of the page. Consider it an invitation to enjoy the best field hockey in the nation. Our home games are at the Artificial Turf Facility, and you can find directions to campus at www.umterps.com. The millennium season will prove to be an exciting one for the Terrapins. We need your support to keep Maryland field hockey at its highest level!
We hope to see you in College Park!
