COLLEGE PARK, Md.- With their next victory, the University of Maryland women's volleyball team will capture win number 700 in the 30th year of volleyball at Maryland. Coach Janice Kruger leads her 9-5 Terps into battle this weekend with two key ACC matches on the road.
Kruger has totaled 242 wins in her 13th season at the helm in College Park. Prior to Kruger, Barb Drum guided the Terps for 17 years and to 457 wins.
Friday, Sept. 29, the Terps travel to Clemson to face the Tigers at 7 p.m. Last season, Maryland lost both meetings with the Tigers. The Terrapins are back in action the following day with a 7 p.m. meeting with Georgia Tech in Atlanta. Both teams won on their home court last season.
Maryland returns to Ritchie Coliseum Friday, Oct. 6, versus defending ACC champion North Carolina. The match is set to begin at 7 p.m.
