Terps Head To Kiawah Island For Final Fall Tournament

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Coming off their second top 10 finish of the season, Maryland women's gof team of Marie Harper (West Point, Va.), Carter Crowther (Kilmarnock, Va.), Katie Redeker (Pepper Pike, Ohio), Kristen Shew (Hockessin, Del.) and Kara Gropler (Franklin Lakes, N.J.) will head to Kiawah Island, S.C., for the Edwin Watts/Palmetto Intercollegiate. This tournament will be the last of the fall season for the squad, and marks the second time this season the Terrapins travel to an event hosted by College of Charleston.

The last time the Terps faced the C of C Cougars was at the Unlimited Potential/Baytree Classic Held in Myrtle Beach, S.C., on Sept. 7-9. The Terps tied for seventh at that event and the Cougars finished the weekend in fifth place.

So far this season, the Terps have garnered two top 10 individual finishes: Katie Redeker (Unlimited Potential/Baytree Classic, 77-79-74--230) and Carter Crowther (Lady Pirate Fall Intercollegiate, 80-76-74--230). The Maryland team has also placed in the top 10 twice this fall: once at the Unlimited Potential/Baytree Classic (seventh place) and Lady Pirate Fall Intercollegiate (fifth place).
