Chris Wilcox and March? Strickland Named Maryland Student-Athletes of the Week

COLLEGE PARK, MD. Sophomore letters and sciences major Chris Wilcox (Whiteville, N.C.) and senior kinesiology major March? Strickland (Kingston, Mass.) have been named the Maryland student-athletes of the week for their performances on the court the week of Nov. 19 - Nov. 25.
Wilcox recorded his first double-double of his career in Maryland's 77-53 win over Delaware State. Wilcox, who recorded career highs in points and rebounds, had 16 points and pulled down 10 boards on the day. The forward was 7-of-12 from the field and added one assist and three blocks in his 25 minutes of playing time. With the win, the Terps improved to 3-1 on the season.
Strickland helped the women's basketball squad take third place in the Coaches vs. Cancer Challenge in Ames, Iowa. The senior guard had 11 points in the first round game against Mississippi State and added 12 points against DePaul. Strickland is averaging 10 points per game this season and ranks 18th on Maryland's all-time leading scorers list with 1,112 points. Strickland takes the No. 25 Terps into Dayton, Ohio for a 7:00 match-up against the Flyers on Nov. 28.
