Women's Golf Tied In Fourth Place After Day One

Harrisonburg, Va. -- After first day of competition, the Maryland women's golf team is tied in fourth place overall in the James Madison Lady Dukes Invitational.
Maryland shot a first round of 313 (+25) and is currently tied with Elon College in fourth place overall. Only ten strokes behind the leader, Rollins College (303, +15), the Terps has placed themselves in a great position to capture their first-ever tournament win.
Maryland is competing in a 16-team field, including Coastal Carolina, East Tennessee State, Eastern Kentucky, Elon, Gardener Webb, Hampton, James Madison, Longwood, Methodist, Princeton, Rollins, Rutgers, UMBC, William & Mary and Yale.
Second round of competition will resume tomorrow, April 7th, at 8 a.m..
