Barbieri Named ACC Field Hockey Player of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Maryland freshman forward Colleen Barbieri was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Field Hockey Player of the Week after helping the Terrapins to two consecutive 8-0 victories in California.
Playing in her first collegiate contest, the Centereach, N.Y. native tallied two goals to help Maryland defeat California-Berkeley 8-0 last Saturday, August 25.
The following day, Barbieri again added two goals, as well as an assist, as the Terps trounced Pacific 8-0.
Barbieri leads the team in scoring with four goals and one assist for a total of nine points. Maryland continues its West Coast trip in a battle against Stanford on August 28 at 4:00 pm EST.
