The Maryland women's soccer team had an "opportunity of a lifetime,"
according to head coach Shannon Higgins-Cirovski, as the team took a
10-day
training tour of Europe in late August. The team played five
exhibition
games against some of Europe's finest teams and took in the sights in
Germany, Belgium and Holland.
"The chance to play some of the top teams in Europe has given us great
momentum heading into the regular season," said the coach. "We had the
opportunity to see three unique and wonderful countries. We were able
to
experience their cultures and learn a lot about ourselves after
spending
so
much time together."
