COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland field hockey freshman Lucy Morris is the subject of a Tuesday feature by The Diamondback, Maryland's independent student newspaper.
The story, by field hockey beat writer Matthew Remsberg, discusses Morris' on and off-the-field contributions already made during her short tenure as a Terp thus far.
Morris, is from Ascot Vale, a city located close to Melbourne, Australia. She joins senior All-American Rachel Hiskins (Melbourne, Victoria, Australia) as one of two Terps from the "land down under." The freshman's impact is evident on the scoreboard as she ranks first on the team with three assists, third with 11 points and tied for third with four goals, but also outside the lines thanks to her easy sense of humor and talented guitar-playing.
