Maryland Women's Golf Finishes 11th in Dodge ACC/SEC Invitational Shootout

Destin, Fla - Led by junior Carter Crowther (Kilmarnock, Va), the Maryland women's golf team finished in 11th place today in the Dodge ACC/SEC Invitational Shootout in Destin, Fla., completeing their first apperance in the annual tournament.
Crowther improved her shooting from a first day 79 second day 82 to a third day 77 for a three day total of 238, 15 strokes over par. Sophomore Marie Harper, (West Point, Va.) tied her career-low score of 74 (+3) during the third round, and leaving her in 36th place, vaulting 10 places from her first day's finish.
Freshman Kristen Shew (Hockessin, Del.) finished in 50th place (86-83-85-254) in her second collegiate apperance, while sophomore Katie Redeker (84-90-87-261) finished the weekend in 55th place, followed closely by sophomore Stacey Wolejko (Hatfield, Mass.) who finished in 57th place (87-90-88-265).
As a team, the Terps bettered their first and second day scores by 11 and 15 strokes, respectively.
Next up, the Terps will play in the Lady Pirate Invitational in Greenville, N.C. Oct. 15-16.
