COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland junior midfielder Audra Poulin (Silver Spring, Md.) was named to the Soccer America Team of the Week and the Soccer Buzz Elite Team of the Week after scoring three goals in the Terps' two wins last week. It is the first time Poulin has earned a player of the week honor from each media outlet.
Poulin netted her first multi-goal game in the 3-0 win over George Mason, last Wednesday night at Ludwig Field. She scored both goals in the first 16 minutes and put Maryland ahead for good in the regional win.
On Sunday, Poulin added her third goal of the week and fourth in a three-game span as she scored in the 41st minute at Clemson. Poulin's goal came off a corner kick from Simone Dekker and tied the game at 1-1, as the Terps went on for their first ever win at Clemson, 3-2.
On the season, Poulin leads the Terps with eight goals and three assists for 19 points. She ranks eighth in the ACC in goals per game.
Poulin and the Terps, who are now 10-5 overall and riding a three-game winning streak, close out the regular-season home schedule with a crucial ACC match vs. Florida State on Friday night at 7 p.m.
