Maryland Head Coach Shannon Higgins-Cirovski
"I was really proud of the performance we had tonight. We really fought hard. In the end, it was a battle, and we won the battle."
Game against UNC: "Obviously, we have tremendous respect for them. They're a hard to defend because of the number of players they play."
FSU Head Coach Patrick Baker
"First, I'd like to congratulate Maryland, coach Cirovski and their players on winning and advancing to the semifinals. It was a tough night for us. I thought we gave that first goal away; we know what Givens is capable off the throw-ins. We kind of gave them that one. After 90 minutes, they scored four and we only scored two. They advance and we don't."
Slow starts: "For whatever reason -- it happened against Wake Forest and Virginia -- we wait until we've given up two goals then we try and play. It's not really a good habit to have. We just weren't sharp enough in the back in the first half."
Second goal: "They disrespected us thinking it was a bowling alley. When we were disrespected on our field, I think that's what really got us fired up."
