Favorite Position: I can't choose one because I have played almost all of them.

Q: Who is your most important influence?
Amanda Ayres: My high school coach Tim Horsmon
Q: What is your career highlight?
AA: Beating Georgia Tech at last year's ACC Tournament.
Q: What is the team's goal for rest of season?
AA: We want to win the ACC tournament.
Q: What are your individual goals for the rest of the season?
AA: I want to be back to the same playing strength that I was before I sprained my ankle.
Q: What are your thoughts on the win streak at beginning of season?
AA: It was great, we worked really hard for it, but I wish it hadn't ended.
Q: What team's are you most excited to play?
AA: Anyone at ACC's. Our goal is to beat all of them and get to the NCAA Tournament.
Q: What sport would you be playing if it wasn't volleyball?
AA: Basketball or softball.
Q: What is your favorite aspect of volleyball?
AA: An exciting "skin-of-your-teeth" play.
Q: What are your thoughts on the libero?
AA: It's great; we have very talented defensive specialists.
Q: If you could change one rule, what would it be?
AA: I don't think referees should be able to call a lift violation on the first hit.
Q: What are your fondest memories of your four years here?
AA: Starting my last preseason ever. I'll never have to go through preseason workouts again.
Q: What are your plans for after college?
AA: I would like to take some time off for traveling and graduate school.
Q: What is the best thing about being a senior?
AA: The best thing is knowing that you are almost done.
Q: Are there any parting words that you would like to leave with?
AA: I would like to thank the other two seniors (my sisters) - we've been through a lot and we made it, somehow. For the people left - hang in there and do your best, so that you have no regrets.
