
Brennan And Jones Receive AVCA All-Region Honors

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland volleyball players Carey Brennan and Lynnsy Jones were named this week to the American Volleyball Coaches Association All-East Region Team, as selected by AVCA coaching membership.
Brennan is a two-time selection who was a first team All-Atlantic Coast Conference pick for 2002. Brennan, a senior, ended her career as the school's all-time leader in kills, and has led the Terps in kills and digs for the past two seasons. Brennan has earned All-ACC and All-East Region accolades in each of the past two seasons.
Joining Brennan was Jones, a junior whose breakout season was accented by a team-best 533 kills and 4.33 per game. Jones also led the Terrapins with 55 serving aces. She ranked third in the ACC in kills and second in aces while earning regional honors for the first time.
