Terps In Fifth Place After Day 1 Of ACC Tournament

CLEMMONS, N.C. - DUKE LEADS PACK AFTER FIRST ROUND IN ACC WOMEN'S GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP The Blue Devils secure the top three individual spots, shooting four-under par as a team Duke is 11 strokes ahead, leading the 2002 field after the first round in the 14th annual ACC Women's Golf Championship at Salem Glen golf course in Clemmons, N.C.
Florida State is in fourth place (301) with Alison Zimmer and teammate Carrie Sordel leading the Seminoles in the four-way tie for fourth place, shooting a 72.
Maryland shot a team score of 306 for fifth place with Katie Redeker shooting a 74 to lead the Terrapins, and is currently tied for tenth place. The five-woman team from Maryland all carded under an 80 in the first round. The Terps are within five strokes of fourth-place Florida State
The second round of action will begin tomorrow morning at 8:30 a.m. at the Salem Glen Country Club in Clemmons, N.C.
