
Terps Take Sixth In ACC Championships

CLEMMONS, N.C. - The second-ranked Duke Blue Devils captured the ACC Championship title for the seventh consecutive year. Duke shot two-over par for the three-day tournament to secure the title. Individual title winners were Candy Hannemann of Duke finished first with an even par score. Virada Nirapathpongporn of Duke and Nuria Clau of Wake Forest finished tied for second place with a 217 tournament score. Duke had all five players to finish in the top 10.
Florida State turned in a fourth place standing after the final round. The Seminoles shot 911 in the three-day tournament with leader Kristin Tamulis finished in a tie for fourth place. North Carolina finished fifth with a final round score of 306. The Tar Heels were led by Ashley Prange who shot even par 72 today.
Following a strong first round, Maryland finished in sixth place with a 939-team score. Marie Harper led the Terrapins finishing in a tie for 16th place.
