COLLEGE PARK, Md.- Maryland head volleyball coach Janice Kruger announced Thursday the signing of Jenny Dunn to a national letter-of-intent to play volleyball for the Terrapins beginning in 2002.
"We are very pleased to have Jennifer on our team," commented Kruger. "Jenny has great potential for becoming a strong middle blocker for us. To have an athlete with her excellent jumping ability at 6-3, we are excited to begin her training."
Dunn, a 6-3 middle hitter from Peachtree City, Ga., is the second middle hitter that the Terrapins have signed for the upcoming season. Dunn played at McIntosh High School and led her team to a 33-11 record her senior season including the regional championship.
Among the schools recruiting Dunn included Alabama, Michigan State, Mississippi, and Northwestern.
Dunn and the Terrapins will open the 2002 campaign Friday, August 30 vs. George Washington at the Maryland Invitational.
