
Clasper Heads Into 2nd Round Of U.S. Women's Amateur

Erin Clasper heads into the second round of the U.S. Women's Amateur here today after shooting an opening score of 81 on Monday.
The 150-person field will be pared to the low 64 after Tuesday's action for match play beginning Wednesday.
Only seven individuals broke par at 6,190-yard Sleepy Hollow CC on Monday, including leader Courtney Swaim of Sugar Hill, Georgia, who fired a four-under 67. Clasper shot 39-42 for her 10-over score.
Clasper, of North Potomac, Md., is a senior-to-be on the Maryland women's golf team.
