
U.S. Field Hockey Under-23 Women Draw With WITS on South Africa Tour, 3-3

JOHANNESBURG, Republic of South Africa - Former Terp All-American Dina Rizzo (Walpole, Mass.) and the U.S. Women's Field Hockey Under-23 team played to a 3-3 draw with co-ed club team WITS in the third game of the team's 6-game South Africa tour.
Rizzo, who hopes to make the U.S. senior national team upon the U-23 squad's return from South Africa, scored a goal for the Stars & Stripes for the second straight game. The U.S. also received scores from April Fronzoni (Larksville, Pa.) and Marcie Boyer (Dillsburg, Pa.) in earning a draw with the co-ed WITS squad.
WITS currently ranks second in its Johannesburg league.
The draw evens the US tour record to 1-1-1 after winning its opener again Jeppe, 4-0, and losing to the top-ranked university team, RAU, 3-1.
The team continues its tour against local club teams on Monday against Witsies before taking on Eds on Tuesday. The team concludes it tour Wednesday against a local team of Under-21 players.
Head coach Tess Ellis' roster also includes, Natalie Martirosian (Richmond, Va.), Meredith Keller (Wilmington, Del.), Stephanie Fuller (No. Potomac, Md.), Kristi Gannon (Escondido, Calif.), Kim Gogola (Whitehouse Station, N.J.), Kelsey Keeran (Columbus, Ohio). Robyn Kenney (Readington, N.J.), Abby Martin (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.), Lauren Mazziotto (Sewell, N.J.), Lindsay Miller (Gap, Pa.), Amy Tran (Grantville, Pa.), Abbey Woolley (Ocean City, N.J) and Barb Weinberg (Louisville, Ky.).
