* The University of Maryland football team improved its record to 3-2 (0-1 ACC) in tonight's 37-8 win over Wofford. The Terriers loss is their first of the season and they now stand at 3-1 (1-0 Southern). Today's meeting was the first between the two schools.

* E.J. Henderson's second-quarter, seven-yard sack of Jeff Zolman was the 46th tackle for loss of the senior's career, a new school record. That total surpasses the 45 set by Aaron Thompson from 1998-2001.

* Henderson finished the game with 11 tackles (seven solo), one TFL and one sack.

* Senior tailback Chris Downs continued his impressive running since taking over as the starter. Tonight, Downs rushed 22 times for a career-high 147 yards and one touchdown. In surpassing 100 yards, Downs became the first Terrapin to break the century mark this season and the first since Shaun Hill ran for 105 against Duke in last year's 59-17 win over Duke, a span of 10 games. He is the first running back to rush for 100 since Bruce Perry rushed for 143 against Virginia two games earlier.

* Downs has had a rushing touchdown in each of the last four games.

* The Terp racked up 250 yards on the ground tonight, giving them 488 over their last two contests after they gained 238 yards last week against Eastern Michigan.

* Josh Allen has gained 149 yards on 24 carries and had three touchdowns in the last two games. He is averaging an impressive 6.2 yards per carry in his first two games at the collegiate level.

* The Terps' defense was strong in the first half, holding the Terriers to no points, 31 yards rushing and 41 yards passing. Tonight marked the second consecutive game that Maryland's "D" has held its opponent scoreless in the first two quarters.

* C.J. Feldheim had one of his finest games as a Terp. The junior posted five tackles (five solo), one sack and three tackles for loss from his nose tackle position.

* Nick Novak was 3-of-4 on field goals tonight -- with his only miss coming on a 57-yard attempt in the fourth quarter -- making him successful on eight of the last ten field goals he has attempted. Novak hit from 50 yards tonight -- one shy of his career long -- and he has now made four of eight for his career from 50 yards or more (and 3-for-4 this year).

* Tonight's attendance was 44,098. In four home games to date this season, Maryland has averaged 47,503 fans per contest.
