Freshman Jen Hasemeier (LaPlata, Md.): Hello to everyone not here. The weather is beautiful here along Lake Michigan. As we practice on Northwestern's field we have a very nice view of the lake. Last night we got a short taste of Chicago, which was about 2 hrs. With one game down, the team is looking forward to our next competition tomorrow. Be back soon.... GO TERPS!!!
Freshman Laura Blongiewicz (Gaithersburg, Md.): Hey there family and fans. Chi-town is great! After our first win of the season against Northwestern I got to spend sometime in the city with my parents and Katrin. It is a beautiful city and hopefully I can return for a longer visit. Tonight we ate at Boyer's house in Oak Park. It was a great way to relax from our busy schedule. We miss you all but I've got to rest up for tomorrow so... G'night!!
Sophomore Kerry Hearsey (Leicester, England): Hey people. Just a quick note before I head off to bed!! What can I say ... in short ... we won ... we swam in a HUGE lake ... we got to experience another big city ... and ate loads-o-food at Em's!! So with that said...I miss you all tons and see you soon.
Freshman Jackie Ciconte (Wilmington, Del.): Hey everybody, greetings from Evanston! As you probably all know the field hockey squad opened their season today against Northwestern and we won 3-1. We are all getting really pumped up for our next game tomorrow against New Hampshire. Some of us went swimming today in the lake, wow it was absolutely amazing, the water was so clear and refreshing. We had a hard time getting Izzy and Kerry out, they must lack bodies of water in England. Thank you to Emily's parents for the lovely dinner it was extremely generous.
I miss you Mom, Dad, the rest of my family, and all my friends in Delaware and elsewhere. Good luck moving in tomorrow Todd. I love you all and can't wait to see you. Go Terps! Ciao!
Freshman Tiffany Marsh (Marathon, N.Y.): Hey everyone!! Greetings from Evanston! Our first game of the season went well today and we ended with a 3-1 win over Northwestern. After the game today, some of us decided to take a dip in Lake Michigan. The water was great...nice and clean and surprisingly warm! This evening we enjoyed a great dinner at the Boyer's. The food was great and we had a fun time cheering on our Terp football team as they played Notre Dame. Our time here in Chicago has been great, and after tomorrow will hopefully be leaving here with 2 wins under out belt! Goodnight to everyone ... especially to Mom, Dad, Kyle, and Tyler ... I miss ya all!
