
Times Set for NCAA Field Hockey Games at Maryland

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The third-seeded Maryland field hockey team opens NCAA Tournament action on Saturday, Nov. 15 at 11 a.m. at the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex. The Terps face Cal and is followed by the Penn State-Princeton matchup at 2 p.m. The winners of those games face each other in the second round on Sunday, Nov. 16 at 2 p.m.
The Terps were selected to host the first and second rounds of the NCAA Field Hockey Tournament. The bracket was announced Tuesday night. Maryland is playing host for the 10th time in school history and 10 times in the last 12 years.
Maryland is making its 16th national tournament appearance, including the last nine years in a row, posting a 26-13 record and winning an NCAA title three times (1987, 1993, 1999). The Terps have never faced Cal in the NCAA Tournament. The Bears, ranked 20th in the nation, are making their third-straight appearance in the NCAA.
All three games of the tournament will be played at the new, state-of-the-art Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex. Ticket prices are $5 for adults and $3 for students/seniors/children. Tickets can be purchased through the Comcast Center Ticket Office by calling 1-800-462-TERP or 301-314-7070. The box office will open one hour prior to the contests on both days of the event.
