Maryland Volleyball Inks Prep Standout

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland head volleyball coach Janice Kruger announced today the signing of Beth Gillming to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Terrapins beginning in 2004. Gillming, a right side hitter from Cincinnati, Ohio, was a two-time first team all-city, all-district and all-state selection at St. Ursula Academy. The Bulldogs were 2003 state and national champions.
"Beth is the complete package with regards to collegiate volleyball. She's an outstanding student and an amazing volleyball talent," commented Kruger. "She will have an immediate impact on our team with her character and understanding of the game."
Gillming was a member of the Cincinnati Enquirer's All-Star Team and the Mizuno Cup all-tournament team, in addition to being a National Honor Society member.
