RALEIGH, N.C. - Members of the volleyball team are contributing journals throughout the year, giving viewpoints on the team, matches and the season. This time, sophomore middle blockers Stephanie Smith and Rachel Wagener and junior outside hitter Sarah Treadwell check in from the team's trip to Raleigh and Chapel Hill, N.C.

It's been quite a week after beating Georgia Tech! It was cool because everyone on campus that we knew was congratulating us. After a few days to prepare for the NC State-North Carolina trip, we were welcomed to BWI with a three-hour delay. The highlight of the airport was watching Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James play each other. Since we missed our dinner reservation, we ate Pizza Hut and M&Ms (bling!)

It took us longer to get here than if we would have driven, and Jean (Steph's new nickname) started crying on the airplane because of all the turbulence. Not really, but I did get a little nervous.

So we finally got to Raleigh and what are we doing? Nothing, chillin' at the Holiday Inn.

Today, we had breakfast and watched video, and then we departed for pass and serve. While we were waiting for the bus to take us home, we noticed Tina (Aramburu) scurrying around to catch some falling leaves. Once again, she embarrassed our team's reputation (wink, wink).

Now we are about to go eat at Macaroni Grill, which we missed last night because we were delayed so much.

The last thing we'd like to do before signing off from Raleigh is to wish Aimee (Huddleston) and Jean's mom (the original Jean), a very happy birthday. Go Terps!
