
Field Hockey Moves Friday Games To Saturday

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University of Maryland has announced the rescheduling of women's soccer and field hockey games late this week because of the threatening weather conditions caused by Hurricane Isabel.
Two games scheduled for the new Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex at Maryland have been moved forward a day from Friday, Sept. 19 to Saturday, Sept. 20, to hopefully take place after Isabel has passed. The Maryland-Michigan game scheduled for Friday, at 8 p.m. has been moved to Saturday at noon. Preceeding the Terps' game, Harvard will take on Richmond at 10 a.m. on Saturday instead of playing on Friday at 6 p.m.
Field hockey fans are reminded that a parking charge will be imposed after noon on Saturday due to the football game vs. West Virginia that evening.
Action for Sunday's games: Michigan vs. James Madison at noon and Maryland vs. Harvard at 2 p.m., remain unchanged.

Saturday, Sept. 20: Harvard vs. Richmond, 10 a.m.; Maryland vs. Michigan, Noon (at Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex)
Sunday, Sept. 21: Michigan vs. James Madison, Noon.; Maryland vs. Harvard, 2 p.m. (at Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex)
The 2003 Maryland/adidas Classic women's soccer tournament at Ludwig Field has been moved from Thursday evening action to one game on Wednesday night and another on Thursday morning. The Terps will take on Loyola on Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. at Ludwig Field, instead of the originally scheduled game at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The match between Tennessee and William & Mary has been moved to 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 18, from its original game time of 5 p.m.
The second day of action in the tournament is still scheduled to go on as planned at the SoccerPlex in Germantown, Md., on Saturday, Sept. 20. The first game pits Loyola vs. William & Mary at 5 p.m., followed by Maryland and Tennessee at 7:30 p.m.

Wednesday, Sept. 17: Maryland vs. Loyola, 7 p.m. (at Ludwig Field, College Park, Md.)
Thursday, Sept. 18: Tennessee vs. William & Mary, 10 a.m. (at Ludwig Field, College Park, Md.)
Saturday, Sept. 20: Loyola vs. William & Mary, 5 p.m.; Maryland vs. Tennessee, 7:30 p.m. (at SoccerPlex, Germantown, Md.)
The Maryland-West Virginia footballl game set for Saturday at 6 p.m., remains scheduled as planned.
