Francis Named To Soccer Buzz National Elite Team Of The Week

College Park, Md. - Kimmy Francis added another accolade this week when she was named to the Soccer Buzz national elite team of the week for the week of Oct. 18-24.

Francis picks up the honor after scoring three goals in Maryland's two games last week. She scored two in the 3-1 win at Navy on Oct. 27 and netted the game-winning goal in the seventh minute of the first overtime period to beat No. 10 Duke 1-0.

Francis is the second Terp women's soccer player to make a Soccer Buzz national elite team of the week this season. Sophomore goalkeeper Nikki Resnick was named to the team on Oct. 4.
