State College, Pa. - Thirty-five degrees with a chance of rain mixed with snow is what I've always thought of as perfect weather for soccer - Yeah right! We're back up in the Keystone State for the NCAA Tournament. The hotel we're staying at is all too familiar since we were just here just two and a half weeks ago. We can't help but remember what happens to us the last two times we have stepped onto Jeffrey Field, but that's in the past and we have to take care of business now.
During our practice yesterday at the field, we came to the conclusion that Jeffrey Field is like our second home field. We've most likely played on it more than any other visiting team in the last couple of seasons, with our game a couple of weeks ago and last year's game vs. Rutgers in the NCAA's. But again, we're moving forward, not looking back.
This year's first round opponent is Loyola (Md.) - a very good opponent. We know it's going to be a tough game, but we're optimistic and just excited to get the tournament started.
Well, it's a little after 9:30 a.m. and I have to start getting ready for the game. I'll try to update everyone on how things went after the game. Have a great day and ... GO TERPS!
