
Maryland Drops Water Polo Match To Villanova, 9-3

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Maryland women's water polo team lost to Southern Division rival Villanova 9-3 Saturday afternoon at George Washington's Charles E. Smith Center in Washington, D.C.
Senior Elyse Corwin (Orinda, Calif.) scored her team-leading second goal of the season and also had an assist. Senior co-captains Kelly Haisfield (New Carrollton, Md.) and Laura Nolan (Towson, Md.) each scored for the Terps, and Haisfield added an assist.
Sophomore goalie Marissa Corwin (Orinda, Calif.) had 13 saves and led the team with five steals, while sophomore Allison Kuzniar (St. Charles, Ill.) had three steals.
Maryland (0-2) returns home tomorrow for a doubleheader. The Terps meet Princeton at 9:30 a.m. at the Campus Recreation Center Natatorium in College Park, and they will take on Bucknell at 12:30.
